Anti-RAB8A, member RAS oncogene family antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene RAB8A in humans. The gene may also be known as c-mel, RAB8, ras-related protein Rab-8A, and mel transforming oncogene (RAB8 homolog). Structurally, the protein is reported to be 23.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
