Anti-TMEM255A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 255A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 349 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the hippocampus and ovary. It is a member of the TMEM255 protein family. The TMEM255A marker can be used to identify Brain Splatter Neurons.* Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 70, member A, protein FAM70A, and FAM70A. TMEM255A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some Tmem255a antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
