Anti-PROB1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein proline rich basic protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1015 amino acid residues and a mass of 106.9 kDa. It is notably expressed in the heart muscle and skeletal muscle. Synonyms for this target antigen include weakly similar to basic proline-rich protein. PROB1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the PROB1 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
