Anti-CDIP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cell death inducing p53 target 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 208 amino acid residues and a mass of 21.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the lysosomes and membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the brain. A member of the CDIP1/LITAF protein family, CDIP1 is known to act as a important p53/TP53-apoptotic effector. Synonyms for this target antigen include CDIP, I1, LITAFL, cell death-inducing p53-target protein 1, LITAF-like protein, and C16orf5. CDIP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some CDIP1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
