Anti-AMER2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein APC membrane recruitment protein 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 671 amino acid residues and a mass of 69.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the hippocampus, colon, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. A member of the Amer protein family, Amer2 is a reported regulator of the canonical Wnt signaling pathway involved in neuroectodermal patterning. Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 123A and protein FAM123A. AMER2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some Amer2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
