Anti-ALS5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ALS5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SPG11 gene, which encodes SPG11 vesicle trafficking associated, spatacsin. This protein is known to function in chemical synaptic transmission and cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. The human version of ALS5 has a canonical amino acid length of 2443 residues and a protein mass of 278.9 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Indicated applications for ALS5 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
