The gene may also be known as protein transport protein Sec61 subunit beta, and Sec61 beta subunit. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 10 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
