Anti-TMEM199 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 199. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 208 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and ER. TMEM199 is reported to be an accessory component of the proton-transporting vacuolar (V)-ATPase protein pump involved in intracellular iron homeostasis. The TMEM199 gene has been associated with the disease, Congenital disorder of glycosylation. TMEM199 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the TMEM199 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
