Anti-EIF4EBP3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E binding protein 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 100 amino acid residues and a mass of 10.9 kDa. It is a member of the EIF4E-binding protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include 4EBP3, eIF4E-binding protein 3, eukaryotic initiation factor 4E-binding protein 3, and 4E-BP3. EIF4EBP3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Over 80 citations in the literature describe the use of EIF4EBP3 antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
