Anti-PSME1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein proteasome activator subunit 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 249 amino acid residues and a mass of 28.7 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the PA28 protein family, PSME1 is reported to be implicated in immunoproteasome assembly and required for efficient antigen processing. Synonyms for this target antigen include IFI5111, PA28A, PA28alpha, REGalpha, proteasome activator complex subunit 1, and HEL-S-129m. PSME1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PSME1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
