Anti-PPAP2a antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PPAP2a antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLPP1 gene, which encodes phospholipid phosphatase 1. This protein is known to function in the regulation of cell proliferation and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of PPAP2a has a canonical amino acid length of 284 residues and a protein mass of 32.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and colon. Other names for this target antigen include LLP1a, LPP1, and PAP-2a. Indicated applications for PPAP2a antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
