Anti-PKIB antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cAMP-dependent protein kinase inhibitor beta. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 78 amino acid residues and a mass of 8.5 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the PKI protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include PKI-beta, cAMP-dependent protein kinase inhibitor 2, protein kinase (cAMP-dependent, catalytic) inhibitor beta, and PRKACN2. PKIB gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PKIB antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
