Anti-ODF2L antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein outer dense fiber of sperm tails 2 like. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 636 amino acid residues and a mass of 73.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be mainly expressed in trachea and testis. A member of the ODF2 protein family, ODF2L is known to act as a suppressor of ciliogenesis, specifically, the initiation of ciliogenesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include ODF2-like protein, basal body centriole-associated protein, and protein BCAP. ODF2L gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ODF2L antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
