Anti-GINS2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein GINS complex subunit 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 185 amino acid residues and a mass of 21.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and chromosomes. A member of the GINS2/PSF2 protein family, Gins2 is known to be required for correct functioning of the GINS complex, a complex that plays an essential role in the initiation of DNA replication, and progression of DNA replication forks. Synonyms for this target antigen include PSF2, Pfs2, DNA replication complex GINS protein PSF2, GINS complex subunit 2 (Psf2 homolog), and HSPC037. GINS2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of Gins2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
