Anti-APOL4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein apolipoprotein L4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 351 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.2 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Apolipoprotein L protein family, APOL4 is believed to play a role in lipid exchange and transport throughout the body. Synonyms for this target antigen include apolipoprotein L-IV. Some APOL4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
