Anti-Male germ cell associated kinase antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MAK in humans. The gene may also be known as RP62, serine/threonine-protein kinase MAK, and male germ cell-associated kinase retinal-enriched isoform. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 70.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, E.coli, yeast, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
