Anti-CMG1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CMG1 is a known alias name of the protein ZFP36 ring finger protein like 1, encoded by the ZFP36L1 gene in humans. This 338-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and cell proliferation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the basal epidermal layer, weakly in the suprabasal epidermal layers.
