Anti-Noxa antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene PMAIP1, or 'phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate-induced protein 1' in humans. The 54-amino acid protein is a member of the PMAIP1 family. The cellular localization is predicted to be mitochondrial.
