Anti-p94 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target p94 is a known alias name of the protein calpain 3, encoded by the CAPN3 gene in humans. This 821-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and muscle organ development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the skeletal muscle. Other synonyms for p94 include CANP3, CANPL3, and LGMD2. These p94 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
