Anti-TPMs antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TPMs antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TCHP gene, which encodes trichoplein keratin filament binding. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and the regulation of cell growth, among other biological roles. The human version of TPMs has a canonical amino acid length of 498 residues and a protein mass of 61.1 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the fallopian tube and gallbladder. TPMs is a member of the TCHP protein family.
