Anti-VRAP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target VRAP is a known alias name of the protein SH2 domain containing 2A, encoded by the SH2D2A gene in humans. This 389-amino acid residue protein is suspected to be a T-cell-specific adapter protein involved in the control of T-cell activation. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the thymus, spleen, lymph node, kidney, and appendix. Other synonyms for VRAP include F2771, SCAP, and TSAD. Western Blot is a widely used application for the VRAP antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
