Anti-VGL antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The VGL antigen is another term for the human protein high density lipoprotein binding protein, encoded by the HDLBP gene. The protein is known to function in cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1268 residues and a mass of 141.5 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. Other alias names for VGL include HBP and PRO2900. Indicated applications for VGL antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
