Anti-UCHL2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the UCHL2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the BAP1 gene, which encodes BRCA1 associated protein 1. This protein is known to function in chromatin organization and in utero embryonic development, among other biological roles. The human version of UCHL2 has a canonical amino acid length of 729 residues and a protein mass of 80.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include HUCEP-13, KURIS, and TPDS1. These UCHL2 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
