Anti-WHS antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The WHS antigen is another term for the human protein nuclear receptor binding SET domain protein 2, encoded by the NSD2 gene. The protein is reported to be a histone methyltransferase, which specifically dimethylates nucleosomal histone H3 at 'Lys-36' (H3K36me2). Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1365 residues and a mass of 152.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and it is widely expressed across many tissue types. The WHS protein is a member of the Histone-lysine methyltransferase protein family. Other alias names for WHS include KMT3F, KMT3G, and MMSET.
