Anti-TRIM18 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TRIM18 is a known alias name of the protein midline 1, encoded by the MID1 gene in humans. This 667-amino acid residue protein is known to have E3 ubiquitin ligase activity towards IGBP1, promoting its monoubiquitination, which results in deprotection of the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase PP2A, and its subsequent degradation by polyubiquitination. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the caudate, tonsil, and appendix. Other synonyms for TRIM18 include BBBG1, BBBG1, and FXY. Some TRIM18 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Indicated applications for the antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
