Anti-TIL4 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TIL4 is a known alias name of the protein toll like receptor 2, encoded by the TLR2 gene in humans. This 784-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and viral immune response, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasmic vesicles and membrane of the cell and features glycosylated and ubiquitinated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, in particular in monocytes, in bone marrow, lymph node and in spleen. Other synonyms for TIL4 include CD282 and CD282. A number of TIL4 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
