Anti-TGASEX antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TGASEX is a known alias name of the protein transglutaminase 5, encoded by the TGM5 gene in humans. This 720-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the cross-linking of proteins and the conjugation of polyamines to proteins. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in foreskin keratinocytes. Other synonyms for TGASEX include PSS2, TG(X), and TGASE5. Indicated applications for TGASEX antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
