Anti-SYNE4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein spectrin repeat containing nuclear envelope family member 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 404 amino acid residues and a mass of 43.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the Nesprin protein family. The SYNE4 gene has been associated with the disease, Deafness. Synonyms for this target antigen include KASH domain-containing protein 4, deafness, autosomal recessive 76, nuclear envelope spectrin repeat protein 4, and nesprin-4. SYNE4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Some SYNE4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunofluorescence is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
