Anti-SynCAM2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SynCAM2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CADM2 gene, which encodes cell adhesion molecule 2. This protein is known to function in brain development and cell adhesion, among other biological roles. The human version of SynCAM2 has a canonical amino acid length of 435 residues and a protein mass of 47.6 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the cerebellum and cerebral cortex. SynCAM2 is a member of the Nectin protein family. Indicated applications for SynCAM2 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
