Anti-TED antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TED is a known alias name of the protein NALCN channel auxiliary factor 2, encoded by the NALF2 gene in humans. This 472-amino acid residue protein is a suspected component of the NALCN channel complex, a channel that regulates the resting membrane potential and controls neuronal excitability. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for TED include CXorf63 and FAM155B.
