Anti-Tcp antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The Tcp antigen is another term for the human protein serine peptidase inhibitor Kazal type 1, encoded by the SPINK1 gene. The protein is a type of serine protease inhibitor which exhibits anti-trypsin activity. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 79 residues and a mass of 8.5 kilodaltons. It is a secreted protein and it is expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and colon. Other alias names for Tcp include PCTT, PSTI, and Spink3.
