Anti-SNS antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The SNS antigen is another term for the human protein sodium voltage-gated channel alpha subunit 10, encoded by the SCN10A gene. The protein is reported to be a tetrodotoxin-resistant channel that mediates the voltage-dependent sodium ion permeability of excitable membranes. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1956 residues and a mass of 220.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is reported to be expressed in the dorsal root ganglia and sciatic nerve. The SNS protein is a member of the Sodium channel (TC 1.A.1.10) protein family. Other alias names for SNS include FEPS2, Nav1.8, and PN3. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the SNS antibodies listed below. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
