Anti-SSS1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SSS1 is a known alias name of the protein SEC61 translocon subunit gamma, encoded by the SEC61G gene in humans. This 68-amino acid residue protein is known to be a component of SEC61 channel-forming translocon complex that mediates transport of signal peptide-containing precursor polypeptides across the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) (By similarity). It is localized to the ER of the cell.
