Anti-SOSS-B1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SOSS-B1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SSBP1 gene, which encodes single stranded DNA binding protein 1. This protein is known to function in DNA replication, among other biological roles. The human version of SOSS-B1 has a canonical amino acid length of 148 residues and a protein mass of 17.3 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types.
