Anti-Pilb antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Pilb is a known alias name of the protein methionine sulfoxide reductase B2, encoded by the MSRB2 gene in humans. This 182-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a methionine-sulfoxide reductase that specifically reduces methionine (R)-sulfoxide back to methionine. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for Pilb include CBS-1, CBS1, and CGI-131. Indicated applications for Pilb antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
