Anti-PIG2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PIG2 is a known alias name of the protein guanidinoacetate N-methyltransferase, encoded by the GAMT gene in humans. This 236-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in organ morphogenesis and spermatogenesis, among other biological processes. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the liver.
