Anti-PI4K-ALPHA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PI4K-ALPHA is a known alias name of the protein phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase alpha, encoded by the PI4KA gene in humans. This 2102-amino acid residue protein is known to act on phosphatidylinositol (PtdIns) in the first committed step in the production of the second messenger inositol-1,4,5,-trisphosphate. It is localized to the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for PI4K-ALPHA include GIDID2 and PIK4CA. Indicated applications for PI4K-ALPHA antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
