Anti-SM-Lmod antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SM-Lmod antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LMOD1 gene, which encodes leiomodin 1. This protein is known to function in muscle contraction, among other biological roles. The human version of SM-Lmod has a canonical amino acid length of 600 residues and a protein mass of 67 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the adrenal gland and placenta. Other names for this target antigen include 1D, 64kD, and D1. Indicated applications for SM-Lmod antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
