Anti-Slat antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Slat is a known alias name of the protein DEF6 guanine nucleotide exchange factor, encoded by the DEF6 gene in humans. This 631-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in GPCR signaling pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the immune system. Other synonyms for Slat include IBP and IMD87.
