Anti-Scip antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Scip is a known alias name of the protein POU class 3 homeobox 1, encoded by the POU3F1 gene in humans. This 451-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a transcription factor that binds to the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3') (By similarity). It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in embryonal stem cells and in the developing brain. Other synonyms for Scip include 45205 and OTF6. Indicated applications for Scip antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
