Anti-PRP28 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PRP28 is a known alias name of the protein DEAD-box helicase 23, encoded by the DDX23 gene in humans. This 820-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in pre-mRNA splicing and its phosphorylated form (by SRPK2) is required for spliceosomal B complex formation. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PRP28 include PRPF28, SNRNP100, and U5-100K.
