Anti-RN antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RN is a known alias name of the protein U2 small nuclear RNA auxiliary factor 1, encoded by the U2AF1 gene in humans. This 240-amino acid residue protein is known to play an important role in both constitutive and enhancer-dependent splicing by mediating protein-protein interactions and protein-RNA interactions required for accurate 3'-splice site selection. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
