Anti-SEPS1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The SEPS1 antigen is another term for the human protein selenoprotein S, encoded by the SELENOS gene. The protein is reported to be involved in degradation process of misfolded endoplasmic reticulum (ER) luminal proteins. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 189 residues and a mass of 21.2 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and cytoplasm and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The SEPS1 protein is a member of the Selenoprotein S protein family.
