Anti-SEMG antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SEMG antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SEMG1 gene, which encodes semenogelin 1. The human version of SEMG has a canonical amino acid length of 462 residues and a protein mass of 52.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the seminal vesicle. SEMG is a member of the Semenogelin protein family.
