Anti-SALM3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SALM3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LRFN4 gene, which encodes leucine rich repeat and fibronectin type III domain containing 4. This protein is reported to promote neurite outgrowth in hippocampal neurons. The human version of SALM3 has a canonical amino acid length of 635 residues and a protein mass of 66.9 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the caudate and cerebellum. SALM3 is a member of the LRFN protein family.
