Anti-TL-PST antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TL-PST is a known alias name of the protein sulfotransferase family 1A member 3, encoded by the SULT1A3 gene in humans. This 295-amino acid residue protein is a reported sulfotransferase that utilizes 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sulfate (PAPS) as sulfonate donor to catalyze the sulfate conjugation of phenolic monoamines (neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin) and phenolic and catechol drugs. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the small intestine, rectum, duodenum, colon, and appendix.
