Anti-SYG1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SYG1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the XPR1 gene, which encodes xenotropic and polytropic retrovirus receptor 1. This protein is known to function in the transport of ions, among other biological roles. The human version of SYG1 has a canonical amino acid length of 696 residues and a protein mass of 81.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include IBGC6 and SLC53A1. Indicated applications for SYG1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
