Anti-SMAUG antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SMAUG is a known alias name of the protein sterile alpha motif domain containing 4A, encoded by the SAMD4A gene in humans. This 718-amino acid residue protein is known to act as a translational repressor of SRE-containing messengers. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix, tonsil, and adrenal gland. Other synonyms for SMAUG include SAMD4 and SAMD4. Indicated applications for SMAUG antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
