Anti-SGLT6 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SGLT6 is a known alias name of the protein solute carrier family 5 member 11, encoded by the SLC5A11 gene in humans. This 675-amino acid residue protein is reported to be involved in sodium-dependent cotransport of myo-inositol (MI) with a Na(+):MI stoichiometry of 2:1. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the heart, skeletal muscle, kidney, liver and placenta.
