Anti-TCF5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TCF5 is a known alias name of the protein CCAAT enhancer binding protein beta, encoded by the CEBPB gene in humans. This 345-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in brown fat cell differentiation and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features methylated, O-glycosylated, ubiquitinated, sumoylated, acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed at low levels in the lung, kidney and spleen. Other synonyms for TCF5 include C/EBP-beta, IL6DBP, and NF-IL6. A number of TCF5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
